Búzios,
RJ, Brazil
Búzios
is a small village located in the Rio de Janeiro state. It is
famous for its beaches and is often crowded during Summer. Concentrated
at the village's main street, called Rua das Pedras, people can
find many restaurants (specially sea food restaurants) and a
large variety of beachwear shops as well as Brazilian beautiful
hand made crafts.
The
pictures below were taken by me in Búzios in 1994, 1995
and 1998. |

That's
me admiring the sea and the flight of the seagulls at João
Fernandes beach. I could spend an eternity like this. I love
the sound of the seagulls. If we keep still, they come so close
that we an almost touch them. |
Julio
and I swimming near one of my favorite beaches in Búzios,
called Azedinha, which is on the left. On the right is the Azeda
beach. The sea is very calm and clear, perfect for swimming and
diving. |

|
This
beach is called Praia dos Ossos. It's located in the center and
not used for swimming. |
This
is very small beach, but one of the cutest beaches in Búzios
in my opinion. It's called Ferradurinha, or Little Horse Shoe,
if translated. Access to this beach is made through a trail on
a hill. |

Another
picture of the Ferradurinha beach. |
This
is the Ferradura beach, or Horse shoe beach if translated. It's
my favorite beach in Búzios. Julio, Lully and I spent
wonderful moments on this beach. |

|
This
is me in a kayak. We can rent them at Ferradura beach. During
the weekends and in the Summer months, we can also rent jet skis
and take a ride on a banana boat. |
Beautiful
sunset at Ferradura beach.
