Lavender
is a traditional cottage garden plant. Some dwarf forms of lavender
reach only abour 10 inches, but others may reach 3 feet in hight.
The flowers are tiny and have a beautiful purple color.
Its
dried flowers and seeds are often used in potpourri or herbal
sleep pillows for soothing and calming. Lavender oil applied
at the temples also relieves headache. |
Fresh
lavender flowers can be used to flavor syrup for jellies, fruit
salad and milk and cream for deserts. |
