statue was found by a peasant on the Island of Milos in Greece,
in 1820. The statue is about 2,100 years old. |
The Winged
Victory of Samothrace, located on the first floor of the Denon
Wing, in the Greek, Etruscan and Roman Antiquities section. It
dates from 200 BC. |
