Ladybugs
"
A small speckled visitor
Wearing a crimson cape.
Brighter than a cherry
Smaller than a grape.
A polka-dotted someone
Walking on my wall.
A black-hooded lady
In a scarlet shawl."

"
One little Ladybug
With spots on its wings
Landed right beside me
As I played on the swings
Two little Ladybugs
Flew around a flower
Then crawled beneath a leaf
To nap for half an hour !"

"
Little red ladybug sits on a leaf.
She sits on a leaf on a tree.
And as she sits on that lil green leaf.
There are so many friends to see !
Little
yellow bumblebees buzz the leaf.
They buzz by the leaf on the tree.
And as they buzz by that lil green leaf
They wave to the friend they see !"

What's
this I see?
It's not a bee....
It skims the blossoms gracefully!
And flies at sleepy summer's pace
To each uplifted flower's face! Oh Ladybug, I wish you joy
As you complete your
garden chores.
I'd like to put aside my work
And join you in the out-of-doors!

"
Down in the hollow,
Not so far away
I saw some little Ladybugs
When I went to play
Swinging
in the Clover,
Up in the air
I wonder if the Ladybugs
Knew I was there ?"
