Dear
Santa,
I
hope everything is fine there. I hope that you can bring a present
for my sister, a present for my mom, a present for my daddy and
also a present for my grandma. And I also hope you can bring
a present to all the children in the world. And please bring
a present for my cousin. And please, reply my letter.
Merry Christmas!
kisses,

I
wrote this letter to Santa when I was 6 and a half years old,
but I still remember the day it was written. I found it many
years ago and added it to my Christmas memories album. Every
time I read this letter, it brings back live memories of the
past which fill up my heart with joyful recollections.
Children's
letters to Santa Claus are symbols of hopes and dreams. These
naive letters make people remember what it was like to be a child
at Christmas and how important it is to believe and have faith.
All this magic of Christmas develops the imagination of the children
and the hope that some dreams can come true showing that it is
important never to give up.
All
the elements involved in the history of Santa Claus, the North
Pole, the reindeer, the toy factory and the elves are something
magical that makes the imagination flow and keeps the Christmas
spirit alive. In a world where the imagination is sometimes forgotten,
believing in Santa Claus and in the magic of Christmas gives
children the opportunity to exercise their creativity and to
have faith, no matter their belief or religion. Faith and hope
can play an important role in the search of confidence, love,
happiness, kindness and peace.
Many
people often forget that while some children have the opportunity
to believe in the magic of Christmas and to have their wishes
come true, many others do not. While on one hand Christmas and
Santa Claus are a reason for the most fortunate to be happy,
on the other hand it may be very disappointing for some children.
When I think about it, it makes me realize how blessed I was
when I was a child and how blessed my son may be. As he grows
up, I want to create joyful Christmas memories for him. The simple
acts of decorating the home together, making crafts, writing
a letter to Santa, reading a Christmas story together, hearing
about the birth of Jesus, creating a nativity scene, making a
prayer together or standing by the window searching for Santa
on his sleigh during Christmas Eve are things that can create
treasured memories for all our lives. Sometimes, the simple things
can become the most cherished recollection.
Life
can be tough sometimes and childhood is sometimes shorter than
it should be, so it is important to preserve the magic of Christmas
as long as possible. After all, we are children only once and
life would not be the same without a touch of fantasy and imagination.
So, dear Santa, my wish this year is to see the Christmas spirit
always alive and children with the ability to imagine and to
believe so that peace, love and good will may exist among mankind. |
